Freeride Paradise

In my 8 years dog life, I find this year's winter really fun. There are heaps of snow at home and then, like many other years in the past, my people decided to take me along on their heliski weekend in Alagna. That Freeride Paradise village is one of my favourite digs and I didn't complain one bit when they squeezed me into the back seat that's already crammed packed to the roof with their skiing gear. It was quite a long journey because Rae decide to drive to Geneva first to collect my hero; Fab-ulous pooch walker and his work colleague Norbert before we drive across the alps driving through beautiful mountainous landscape, the boring Mont Blanc tunnel and man more tunnels after that.

After what feels like 6billion dog hours of travelling, we finally reached the B&B that will be my home for the next few days. There was so much snow I can hardly see the houses and buildings.
Under these mountain of snow, there are plants and bushes buried together, and I know I will have a hard time to do my usual daily dog business if I can't find anything grassy or green. Unlike many many years ago, there are really mountains of snow this year. It is really like fairy tale. I got all excited and impatient to make the white snow yellow...so we walked around the village and I added some colours to the white winter landscape!
We got up to our apartment and hurrah!! I have a balcony to myself for running around.

The view from the balcony was magical even in the dark.
It was difficult to sleep that night as I was too excited to get out in the snow again. I probably was walking around in the dark apartment while my people fainted into their sleep in exhaustion after the long drive. After some hours later, the night curtain lifted up. From the apartment kitchen I saw the most inviting wonderland waiting for me to explore..... I quickly put up my sad face and giving them signs that I badly need to get to do my poo business...I know....very cunning dog trick....

The temperature during end of February usually are quite mild, especially when the sun is out during the day but this year, winter is definitely very hard on the in central europe and I had to put on my dog winter jacket to stay warm. The problem is when the snow decided to stick to my furs making me look as if I'm wearing a dress with lots of golf balls hanging around the skirt. Since I put on the jacket, this rumba golf balls didn't happen anymore.
